Welcome to Class

Hello again!

I have returned with yet another comic, this time keeping in line with the Athena skits. I rather like her character. I think I might keep her. I've been experimenting with different styles as well. This new one I'm trying is a bit Disney-esque, but it's fun. And it's getting me to branch out, especially with shading and lighting. I'm actually learning a lot more about photoshop; normally I'm a traditional artist only. These comics are my first excursions into the realm of digital art.

What I need to work on now is background. And composition. But those will come in time.

As for the dialogue in this comic, the last line came out of a professor's mouth just last semester. He didn't mean it in so pointed a way, of course, but he was joking about "other classes" that might not be as strenuous as others, if you get my drift.

Funnily enough, he taught a few underclassmen courses. I would know. I took one of them. I was the uperclassman who sat near the door, always answering questions and joking with the professor and just having a damn good time. I pity the freshman who had to sit in on that 8am class. Poor freshman. I'm so glad I'm not one of those anymore.

Wait...Grad school is coming up soon. I am going to be a freshman again. Crap.
